It’s march here in the northern Maine woods. Typically, that would mean a couple of feet of ice on the lake and snowbanks above my rooftop and all to the constant hum of snowmobiles from families out having a fun ride, or fishermen gliding across the lake to their favorite ice hole, to just buzzing up and down the streets running errands.

Yes, in a typical winter, it’s one of the easier ways to get around. But this is not a typical winter. Our Moosehead Lake usually loses its ice around early to mid May. But this year, it’s looking like we will have our lake back in action around mid-April or possibly earlier! That’s a crazy early record if it does indeed happen.

Instead of the usual weeks of blizzards and ‘noreasters and temps well below zero, we have had a lot of….. well, rain. And flooding. Which also means a lot of extra mud and no snow and local wildlife that is confused as heck as to what time of year it is!

Anyway, in truth, an early spring is not something you’ll hear me publicly complaining about ever. I’m not actually a big fan of snow or winter. Which always begs the question of why I chose to live where I do. It’s just one of those life things that happened and for some reason, keeps on happening.

But small town life has its charms. And without the usual buzz of snow-machines, it’s been a lot quieter and very peaceful. Which, in turn, helps the reading and the writing happen.

Anyway, it’s Book Fair Day! HA HA HA – perfect transition. And nothing like finally getting to the point. It’s mid-March, calendar day of spring fast approaching, and I’ve got a few stellar book collections for you all to browse and hopefully find your next reading binge. Enjoy!

Book Fair – is for amazon kindle readers – the best current supernatural reads from 80+ authors!

Book Fair – is for readers of multiple online retailers, from amazon, barnes & noble, apple, google, kobo or kobo plus, smashwords, direct from authors and more! Another magical collection of supernatural reads.

Well, I think that’s enough reading material for March. I’m going to put on the mud boots and go collect my mail. I’m also spending a few days each week in seclusion writing away on my next project. I’ll tell you all more about it soon…

Until then, read more and worry less my friends – Rachel – SPF eBooks by The Witchy Writer.
